The new album by Brian Houston is so far out of the box as to be out of sight. This record is a radical departure for the Belfast Troubadour, best known for thoughtful provoking message songs and pensive ballads. Houston says it’s so different because with this record he’s approached songwriting from a completely different angle and the results are phenomenal! Early mixes of the record have prompted critics to say “His best work yet!” “Where has this Brian Houston been hiding?”And “He needs to write this way from now on, he’s defiantly found his groove.” Houston is known for changing lanes and swopping genres but with this record he’s pushed the boundaries of creativity an imagination. The record is experimental, dark, funny, bluesy and rocking and once it starts it never lets up. From the pop perfection of first single Anna and follow up Summers Coming to the mean moody blues of Please Don’t Tell My Momma and title track Hot Diggity the pace doesn’t slacken for a moment leaving the listener gasping for breath.It’s hard to know where Houston can go after a record like this. Never one to be easily pigeon holed Houston may well have hit his career peak and made a stick  to beat himself with at the same time.
